These vials are compatible with autosamplers and have an opening 40% larger than 8-425 threaded vials, simplifying pipetting and other routine functions. If the weight, damage, surface inertness, and/or disposal costs of the glass vial are concerned, the vial manufactured from polypropylene is an alternative to consideration. The benefits of polypropylene materials include low extraction rates, compatibility with many solvents, ideal for working with proteins, ideal for ion chromatography applications, ideal for pH-sensitive sample storage, and eliminate the need for inserts during microsampling.
