Reagent bottle, also known as culture medium bottle or scale bottle, is a container made of glass, borosilicate or related substances, with a special cover on the top. They are designed to contain chemicals in the form of liquid or powder for laboratory use and are stored on cabinets or shelves. Some reagent bottles are amber (photochemical), brown or red to protect photosensitive compounds from visible, ultraviolet and infrared radiation, which may change them; Bottles are called “graded” when they are marked on the side to indicate the approximate (usually 10% error) amount of liquid at a given level in the container.
