Reagent bottles in tinted amber or red protect light-sensitive contents from UV light, visible light and infrared radiation. Reagent bottles are available with narrow mouths for better control while pouring, or wide mouths for easy filling or content retrieval.

The reagent bottle can withstand a low coefficient of thermal expansion (3.3), and its heat resistance is far better than standard laboratory glass (or soda lime glass). Aijiren glass can withstand temperatures from -70 to 500°C, so it can be reused in freezers, microwave ovens, autoclaves and dry heat sterilizers.

All hybex bottles have permanent, white enamel graduations for volume measurement and a white identification box for marking or coding. All hybex media bottles include a drip-free sealing ring as well as a standard blue polypropylene (GL45) sealing cap. Bottles are also available with green, purple, white and yellow caps, or in an assortment pack containing two of each color.
